Man am I bummed. Basically in the span of 3 minutes I had AA cracked by QQ and a set of 6’s cracked by runner-runner hearts. “That’s Poker”.. Monkey Boy Poker! I guess since it was a rebuy.. people say what the fuck.. oh well.. Frustrating so far.. but let us see if the Poker God grant me some revenge.
So I am still in the two games I got the bad beats on. I re-bought in both of them AND took the add-on. One was a $3 Qualifier to the 500K on Stars this weekend, the other is the 3K on Titan. We shall see what happens.. after this I think it is bed. Cause dem cards are not Quads Beeches!

After the break is looking good. My pocket 4’s hold up against AQ and my AA set stands. Both double my chips.
Mistake 1: Call a raise with KQ. Mistake 2: Push when a Q flops. I actually beat the original better but the 3rd player had AQ. Doh! I am still in the 3K though. Hanging in with 1500 chips. Pushing with AQ s00ted. Doubled and Kick the nuts out of JJ. Back up to my 3800.
Out of the Titan tourney with A9 vs KK. I flop an Ace and he turns a K. Ouch. I have been getting one out ass kicked all night.

Ok. This is no good. Guess how I went out of the 500K Qualifier! Bet you never guess. Lets see. Push with AQ s00ted. Called by JJ. Flop the Ace. The turn is.. say it with me.. yes.. JACK! Is this not supposed to be umm.. what’s the word I am looking for .. RARE!!!!! God short term variance is a kick in the balls. I bet someone can tell me the odds of getting a two outer suckout three times in one night, twice within 5 minutes of each other. Ouch. I mean you can not just kick me in the balls, you have to poke my eyeballs with hot pins too..
Last shot.. the ole 180 person SNG. I feel as if I am just setting myself up.. but as you all know I am a glutton for punishment.. Well out in 56th, JJ vs AT. He caught his Ace. At least that was only a small favorite hand I lost.
What do I have to do..
I have BEYOND a doubt the WORSE luck of ANYONE EVER! If I had normal person luck, I would be winning twice as many tourneys. However, since I have fucktard luck, I lose everything. Here are some examples of tonights fun:
88. I push. I get THE best call I could EVERY want. A8. 3 outs baby. If even. Hmm. 3 hearts. 4 hearts. Ummm.. how come he hit an 8 high flush?
AA,KK,QQ all cracked by 2 outers on the river.
45 flops the NUTS straight and is runner-runner rivered by a straight 1 card higher. 2 outs again, since THE only card he could get to win was a 4, and I had a 4 in my hand.
My favorite though was less of a suckout. It was in the 3K. I flop a nice 2 pair on the flop. So what do I do? Push. I put the guy with 960 chips, in a freezout tourney, all in. What does he do? Calls. Catches a flush of course.
At least I joined in the fun for one hand. I have AQ, and make a large raise. J9o calls me. The flop is QJJ. Tough hand. Should lay it down. So I bet the pot. I get cold called. Now I see alot of draws and stuff and can not put him on a hand. So I push. And guess what. I catch MY 2 outer, hitting a Q over J boat on the river. Cya.

So. Freaking. Tired. SirFWALGMan.. the Wafflenator, has just placed 3rd in this fine contest. +300 in the bankroll. I would amaze you with my wonderous wins but basically I had a jackass at my table. He rebought 6 times. He gave me 4 of those. I made an early mistake pushing QQ vs KK. Ouchie.
I chipped up slowly. Had 4K after the break. Hung in there until 20 left. Doubled up with A4o. I was a small stack. K9 called me. Hung in until final table.
Got some nice hands which got me as high as 2nd chips stack. Went all in with 22 when I had 48K, 4K blinds. I was second chip stack. KQo caught her Q. No 2 for me. That hurt me. I hung in until the 4th guy went out. I then pushed with AK vs KK and even though I made 4 spades for some excitement, I never caught the Ace to take second. So I ended up out in 3rd. A well played game for the most part.
Visual XUL Launched
Well.. it has been a while again. I have been kind of busy with paying projects. Plus nobody really reads this.. anyone? Helooo.. no, did not think so. So I have decided to embark on another project. I have shelved the FireFox extension for now because I need to get better at XUL. So instead of just learning XUL like anyone with a brain might do, I go looking for a good XUL Editor. Are there any? Of course not. The Non-Microsoft community might be great at some things but making development easier is not one of them. So what do I do? I decide to start a new project. A Visual XUL editor. Open Source. Anyone who wants to donate obviously is free to do so. We shall see if I can finish this project. It is very aggressive and will be difficult. If a programmer fails a project in the woods with nobody around is it a failure?
I just had to share this site with everyone. I saw it on TalkingPoker.com. It is really funny. Not sure how much of it is true. I bet Al could tell some stories to rival this. I think he should buy a breathalizer too!

FireFox the Dangerous
Sorry for the lack of posts. Nobody reads this and the Poker Blog keeps me busy along with work and the kids. Posts will probably remain sporadic until I notice some people reading and then we shall see. I really like attention!
I decided to create a more intense version of the Hello World Firefox extension. Why? Because I can. As is the case in most development as you add real-world functionality everything becomes more complicated and the thorns start appearing. So guess what I had to do? Reinstall Firefox. I really did not have to. I eventually found a nugget of information. You can remove bad profiles very easily by running Firefox from the command prompt with a –ProfileManager flag on the end. It allows you to delete a profile that might have become corrupt. Now I am no rocket scientist but I do not believe any Firefox extension should have the power to destroy your browser and not allow you to run the application. Umm. Can you say “Bad Design”, and there always complaining about Microsoft. Jeeeeez. Oh well, I still Love FireFox and continue to use it as my browser of choice. I am not sure what was wrong with my extension, but it was something simple as having a bad path. I again say this should not cause FireFox to die!
So my project is an Encryption/Decryption system. It has a textbox for the codeword. It has a multi-line textbox for the text to encode, or the results of the decoding. It has an Encode and Decode button. The idea of the project is to allow you to put DIV tags into your website, and those tags will have encrypted information. Only your buddies with the super secret decrypt code will be able to read the site or the secret information. Simple right. Ha! I do not even know how to begin. Well, that is not true. I went to XUL Planet for some info on designing UI. It would be nice if there was a good visual editor for XUL. I have yet to find one though. I might write one as my next project. Anyway I have figured out how to make buttons on a page and stuff but not too much more. I will keep you updated with my progress.

Getting FTP to Work with Ant in Eclipse
The one thing that I hate about Java is it seems you have to download a hundred packages to get something to work sometimes. It always takes forever to figure out what packages you need and where to get them. If I need something for .NET I usually can find it at Microsoft.Com. On the other hand the flexability and open source aspects of Java help mitigate these small nuscences. So today I need to find some ANT libraries to allow me to FTP through Eclipse. I also had to figure out where to put them. I found a nice article that was very helpful at Devnull.
Here is is basically verbatim:
I never seem to remember what I need to install to get the optional task in Ant working when it's time to blow away Eclipse and start a fresh install. Here is the basic information you need to get it working:
For Ant 1.5, you will need to download NetComponents.jar
For Ant 1.6 (Ant 1.6.2 is current in the Eclipse 3.1 Milestone as of this writing), you will need commons-net.jar and the Jakarta ORO JAR file.
Grab the applicable files above and put them in your $ECLIPSEHOME/plugins/org.apache.ant_$CURRENTVERSION/lib folder. You'll then need to add the file(s) you copied to this directory to the Ant classpath which you can do by going to Window > Preferences, traverse down the tree on the left to Ant > Runtime, and use the dialog box which appears to add them. I usually use the "Add External JAR's" option myself. Click "OK" when done,and then you should be good to go. You may however need to restart Eclipse.
